Holio is built for any hospitality property with guest rooms: hotels, boutique hotels, hostels, B&Bs and holiday parks with individual cabins or lodges. It works equally well for a 20-room boutique hotel as for a 200-unit holiday park.

Holio integrates directly with leading Property Management Systems including Mews, Noovy and Oracle Opera via API. Once connected, Holio reads live reservation data (check-in and check-out times) and uses this to schedule heating and cooling automatically. Using a different PMS? Guest comfort is never compromised. Holio pre-heats or pre-cools rooms before guests arrive, so the room is at the right temperature when they check in. Guests can always adjust their room temperature manually. Holio simply stops heating or cooling empty rooms.

No. All Holio sensors and smart TRV valves are fully wireless and battery-powered. Installation takes around 5 minutes per room and requires no electrician or building work whatsoever.

A typical 50-room property is up and running within one day. Holio pre-assigns every device to its room before shipping, so installation is truly plug and play. No technical contractor needed: a property manager or someone from the internal technical department can handle it. Each device clips on in minutes, and the PMS integration goes live immediately after.

Holio is compatible with most split-unit and multi-split air conditioning systems. During the onboarding call we verify compatibility with your specific hardware and advise on any adapters needed.

Holio's smart TRV valves work best with the standard M30 × 1.5 mm thread connection, which is found on most modern radiators in hotels and hostels. If your radiators use a different connection type, no problem — we supply adapters so the TRV fits virtually any radiator. Not sure about compatibility? Get in touch and we'll check it for you.

No. All Holio devices communicate over LoRaWAN, a dedicated low-power wireless network that operates completely independently from your Wi-Fi. This means your guests always have full bandwidth and your front desk systems are never affected. LoRaWAN signals pass through walls and floors with ease, so coverage across a multi-floor property is reliable without any additional infrastructure.

Holio has a minimum contract length of 3 years. After that, the subscription continues on a rolling monthly basis with 30 days written notice to cancel. Most properties reach full ROI well within the first year, so the term is rarely a concern. Questions? Contact us.

Most properties see a positive return on investment within 3–6 months. The exact payback period depends on your current energy tariffs, occupancy patterns and property size. We calculate this for you before you sign anything.

Hardware is purchased separately as a one-time investment. The good news: you own the devices outright. That means no software dependency to keep them working. The sensors and smart valves function perfectly as standalone devices even without the Holio platform, so your property is never left without a working heating or cooling system.

Airco Management is currently being tested with a select group of properties. We run every feature through thorough real-world testing before a full rollout, so we can guarantee the same reliability our customers expect from the rest of the Holio platform. Yes. The Holio dashboard supports multi-property management. You can view live room status, energy savings, alerts and device health across all your properties from a single screen.

Holio's window and rain sensor detects the open window within seconds. It immediately pauses the heating or cooling for that room and sends an alert to your front desk, before any damage is done. The alert appears in the dashboard log with a timestamp and room number.

Alerts are pushed in real time to the Holio dashboard and can also be sent via email or integrated into your existing front office communication tools. Every alert is logged with a timestamp, room number and resolution status.

Yes. The dashboard shows savings over time in euros and CO₂ reduced. You can filter by property, date range and solution type. A weekly summary email can be sent automatically to property management.
